ABOUT US
Here at the King William IV we aim to provide a variety of quality beverages in a casual but comfortable environment to appeal to a wide range of customers. King William IV is a traditional drinking pub serving an ever-changing range of Cask Real Ales and Ciders. We stock a good range of quality wines and spirits with six lagers on draft. We do not offer cooked meals, leaving plenty of room in our compact pub for you to enjoy your drink, however we have a large range of snacks and occasionally we have food trucks on site offering a wide range of street food which you can enjoy with your beverage to eat in or takeaway.
We are dog friendly and well-behaved children are welcome with a responsible adult. Dogs must be kept on a lead and children always supervised. The extensive Gardens and Marquee are host too many events throughout the year so make sure you follow us on Facebook to keep up with what's on.
You will find us in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and we are proud to be the home of the Moody Goose Brewery and so is one of the few outlets for its ales. (New website for the Moody Goose Brewery is coming soon).
THE BREWERY
Situated in the grounds of the King William IV public house in Braintree. We have a four-barrel plant which we brew a small range of cask Ales throughout the year, predominantly for the King William IV and a few select Beer festivals and pubs.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Being situated by Notley Cross, there are multiple ways of getting to us via public transport. You have the following busses that stop right near the pub, the 170, X20, X70, 70, 320. Braintree train station is just 1.3 miles away or you can download the DigiGo app from the Travel Essex website HERE.
BY CAR
If you are driving and visiting us by car then we have plenty of on site parking here at the King William IV.
